Little Things Mean a Lot
A few basics really show your love for your baby and all you really need is your face, your touch, the sound of your voice, and the gentleness exchanged between you. Here are a few little things that mean a lot.
In General
When you respond to your baby's cry you are teaching her that she is valuable, that the world can be trusted and that language (crying) has purpose. By trying to discover why baby is crying—is she hungry, sick, too cold or warm, scared, bored or lonely, tired or overstimulated, wet?—and by responding, your baby learns that she is loved.
